Placemat
My very first sewing project was a place mat. I found a prepackaged sewing project at Joanns.It came with the pattern and fabric, I just had to cut it out and add the insert. I wanted something easy to complete so I could get comfortable using my sewing machine. Here is the place mat. I need to make the other one......

Oh I haven't been on here in a while and you have been so busy!! Love this placemat. It is too cute - I will have ot try it and the scarf!! I love having a sewing buddy!:) And the tray is adorable too! I will have to think about that mantle, lol! You know I love to decorate me some mantles;-) It looks good, but I think she could definitely add some stuff!
